Tour Details

Join us as we wander the streets of Toowoomba to hear stories of the sordid, sad and sometimes humorous side of our city’s history.

Meet us in Queen’s Park, on the corner of Margaret and Linday Streets, for a two-hour, light-hearted walk through our CBD for a one-off guided tour with storyteller extraordinaire, Paul Herbert.

Paul is very highly regarded as one of  Toowoomba’s most knowledgable and entertaining storytellers of local history.  He’ll show us how Toowoomba played a vital part in Queensland’s development, in fact it could be argued that Toowoomba saved Queensland.  Find out how.

Toowoomba has a fascinating history. Come along on this informative guided walk as we learn how events of Toowoomba’s past shaped the state that we call Queensland. Along the way learn about some of the quirkier, darker, funnier, fascinating happenings of this wonderfully diverse city.

We assure you, you will walk away with a greater insight into Toowoomba and leave you with a new found appreciation of this wonderful city.

We’ll finish with a delicious light lunch (provided) at Cafe de Velo in Russell Street, Toowoomba CBD*.

Please let us know any special dietary requirements when booking.

*If you are leaving your car at the start location allow a 20min walk to get back to your vehicle.
