Day 6Palau Ubin - Last Village in Singapore

It’s easy to think of Singapore as a high-tech city. See a different side of the nation on this small-group half-day tour to Pulau Ubin, a simple island where water still comes from wells and stoves still run on wood. Travelling in a group no larger than 7, you’ll cross by bumboat and then explore orchards, villages, disused quarries, and mangroves on foot or by bicycle (rental at your own expense).

This afternoon choose from one of the city’s many museums or art galleries, from the National Museum to The National Gallery, from Peranakan Museum to Asian Civilisations Museum, there’s sure to be a topic to suit even the most ardent learner.

Day 7 A Mix of Everything - Nature, Shopping & Food

Rise early and spend the morning amidst the nature and tranquillity of the Singapore Botanical Gardens. These are the only tropical botanical gardens in the UNESCO heritage list. Within the gardens is the National Orchid Garden with over 60,000 plants and orchids.

From here it’s time to hit the shops, and in Singapore you really are spoilt for choice. From Orchard Road you can shop for high-end brands and local labels and everything in between. At Design Orchard (on Orchard Road) it’s your one-stop shop for all things local. It’s a trove of wares proudly made in Singapore.

Dinner tonight. Start with a cocktail or two at PLUME, then you can go upscale or down from there. If you’re looking for street food, Michelin-starred restaurant or something in between, there’s sure to be the right fit for you. Why not try Haji Lane, at nightfall many bars and cafes set up al fresco seating as live musicians play for the diners along the narrow lane.

Day 8Farewell Singapore

All good things must come to an end. After breakfast you private driver will return you to the airport for your onward journey.
