This trip is for the local adventurer! Could this be you?
We are not going too far from home, but it will be a great little adventure!
It’s a great opportunity to make new friends in a small group environment. This short break is about making connections; connections with the local area, to the local people and businesses, to the stunning natural landscapes and maybe even to yourself as you take on new challenges and experiences.
Don’t worry, it isn’t all go-go-go, there will be downtime to relax and get to know your fellow travellers.
Our trips are about filling your life with experiences. Have stories to tell, not stuff to show.
So, what are you waiting for? Grab the bull by the horns and join in today, you know you want to!
Toowoomba (or Stanthorpe)
1400hrs local time
From her starting position as tea lady, a job she took way too seriously (trust us, tea is something of an obsession with her), she wins the gold star for giving everything a go.
As a former police officer, Suzanne joined the ICON team with not only a can-do attitude but also a bloody-well-will-do attitude too. If she’s in charge of a tour or helping to organise independent travel for you, you can be rest-assured it will be like her tea, done to the highest and most meticulous standard.
Meet in Toowoomba mid-afternoon and let the fun begin! Hop onboard the private transport, sit backand relax as we head to The Granite Belt.
We’ll hit the Granite belt, check-in to our accommodation. Then you have the option of joining us atBalancing Hearts Winery for wine down Friday. Let’s sit around the fire and enjoy authentic wood fired pizza and perhaps some local wine (all own expense) while you get to know your follow travellers.

If you like to rise early, head into town for your early morning coffee.
Stanthorpe is where all of Queensland’s apple crop is grown and when spring arrives in the orchards, more than one million apple trees put on a brilliant showing that draws visitors down quiet countryroads to see the blossoms.
The Poziere family have been growers in the region for over 100 years. They are now inviting us toenjoy a farm visit followed by brunch under the blossom.
From here we’ll meet with our friend Jon for a guided bike ride around the district. Do not worry, thetrail is mostly flat and even if you are not the most confident cyclist you will be able to keep up as wellmake our way to the cheese factory, and wineries. This ride is full of
delicious discoveries of the region. A support vehicle is always on
hand if you need a break or to carry purchases made along the way.
Tonight we’ll support one of the local restaurants to sample more
of the freshest locally grown produce.

Our last walk with Bob, our Granite Belt expert, was so great we’re going to do it again. We’ll go off the beaten track to another hidden location. This will be considered a grade 4 hike, due to the rugged terrain and steep inclines/declines. It is advisable to wear long trousers and long sleeve shirts as well as hat and sunscreen.
After the hike, we’ll head back to Toowoomba by 6.00pm
